What we're looking for...

The Vice President of Manufacturing creates and executes operational plans and strategies with primary focus on safety, compliance, cost, capacity, and productivity. This is accomplished through the development, planning and implementation of strategic and responsive manufacturing initiatives that support consistent business growth, onboard new technologies, create a stable workforce, and establish centers of excellence.

Expectations & Accountabilities...

  • Lead manufacturing operations across Oatey’s domestic multi-site manufacturing network with primary focus on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Productivity. Maintain and build upon Oatey’s strong performance and culture expectations.

  • Develop long-term operational plans aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Oversee successful implementation of manufacturing process improvements, capital equipment investments, and infrastructure projects.

  • Lead initiatives to promote continuous improvement within the organization to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap.

  • Lead and coach teams to drive a high-performance culture that accommodates rapid and dynamic growth. Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team that establishes Oatey as an Employer of Choice.

  • Manage and help develop annual manufacturing budget and manage overhead, variable and labor costs to meet or exceed annual plan.

  • Ensure each site maintains compliance with all state and national requirements including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, DOL, NFPA.

What you'll need to be successful...

  • Minimum ten (10) years relevant progressive management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Previous multi-site leadership experience preferred.

  • Successful record of development and execution of strategic and tactical programs that consistently meets objectives.

  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high mix operational environment and work collaboratively with all functional groups including HR, Distribution, Supply Chain, Finance, EHSS, IT, Sales, etc.

  • Experience successfully leading EHSS improvements, cost savings, quality and continuous improvement initiatives, new product launches, and capital improvements.

  • Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving, positive approach and change management skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration or relevant equivalent industry experience required.

  • Ability to travel - 25%.
